Terms & Policies
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept all major debit and credit cards — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Cash App Pay — processed securely through Square. No ACH or cash. Invoices available for title companies and business clients.
Cancellations & No-Shows
Cancellations with less than 30 minutes' notice after the notary is en route will be charged a $25.00 inconvenience fee. Same-day bookings are non-refundable. Repeated no-shows may result in prepayment requirements for future appointments.
I-9 Verification Policy
SNV acts as the employer's authorized representative for I-9 Section 2 completion only. Employers must provide a written designation prior to the appointment. SNV does not provide immigration legal advice.
Wedding Officiant Policy
A valid, unexpired Texas marriage license must be presented before the ceremony begins. The 72-hour waiting period applies unless waived (active military exemption available). The signed license must be returned to the issuing county clerk within 30 days.
Apostille Services
Apostille authentication is issued exclusively by the Texas Secretary of State. TX SOS fees ($15/document) are the client's responsibility. SNV does not guarantee acceptance by the TX SOS or any foreign authority.
Texas Regulatory Compliance
All notarization fees comply with Texas Government Code §406.024. RON services comply with Texas SB 2128. Record retention: all notarial records retained for 10 years per Texas SB 693 (effective September 1, 2025). SNV carries E&O insurance and is NNA certified.
